The Divine Goddess Bundle

from £108.00

A beautiful combination of ceremonial-grade cacao, handcrafted artistry and meaningful ritual.

The Divine Goddess Bundle pairs your choice of our pure ceremonial-grade cacao with the IxCacao Goddess, a unique handmade statue created to honour cacao and the rituals surrounding it.

With her outstretched hands, the IxCacao Goddess is designed to hold cacao beans, Chunks or Crumbles, making her a beautiful addition to an altar, shelf or sacred space.

Each statue is individually handmade in Glastonbury by local artist Kishi Bay Childs, using a combination of clay, iron oxide, stoneware, terracotta and sand. No two are exactly alike, making every Goddess a truly unique piece.

Thoughtfully brought together, this collection celebrates both the cacao-growing communities we work with in Ecuador and independent makers here in the UK.

About Ixcacao

Burning bright in the heart of Mayan mythology, the spirit of Ixcacao shines on… Her fruits are thought to have intoxicating and aphrodisiac qualities, traditionally brewed in ceremonies into a spicy, bittersweet drink. This magical mother who provides us with her joyous beans is surely one to love and honour!

Ixcacao was historically invoked in rituals and ceremonies for blessings of love, fertility and abundance. With a voluptuous shape and breasts that resemble cacao pods, Ixcacao’s hands form a small offering bowl which can hold a chunk of cacao or some cacao beans or nibs, making a wonderful addition to any cacao shrine, altar or mantel piece and the perfect gift.

CACAO AND SSRIs

If you are taking SSRIs or are sensitive to caffeine, we suggest taking a maximum of 10gm cacao a day and seeing how it affects you. Cacao naturally produces serotonin, which can create issues if you are taking SSRIs that also chemically produce serotonin. We advise you to speak to your doctor if you are unsure.
