Our new Ritual Cacao Pods are perfect for an individual ceremonial dose, or to make cacao to share for two people’s daily dose in one petal.

The Pods are lovingly handmade in our factory in Ecuador, poured into our exclusive moulds and sealed with a silver packing to keep them fresher for longer.

Our Pods make it much easier to prepare your daily ritual cup of Ritual Cacao for two people, or for a ceremonial dose; a shamanic journey, meditation or other ritual practice.

Our delicious Pods are made from the Arriba Nacional / Fino de Aroma cacao from the Ecuadorian Amazon. 

Ecuadorian Cacao is a great cacao for beginners: and has a light and smooth taste.

  • Easy to break off a ceremonial dose, or make two daily dose portions from one petal

  • No need for scales or weighing

  • Each pod contains 5 petals of 40-42g

  • Each pack contains 1 x 200g pod (5 petals in each)

  • Individually sealed for freshness

  • Just break off one of the 40-42g Petals for you individual ceremonial portion or for your sharer daily dose and melt into hot water or milk (dairy, nut or plant) for a delicious cup of rich, nourishing hot chocolate brew.

  • We recommend 20-25g cacao a day to nourish your body and brighten your mood.

  • A 42g dose is recommended for ceremonies, rituals, and shamanic journeys.

Peruvian vs Ecuadorian Cacao

Ecuadorian cacao is light, smooth and silky, making it the perfect introduction for those who are new to cacao. We find Ecuadorian cacao slightly less bitter than Peruvian cacao, and if you drink cacao regularly, you may start to notice distinctions in flavour, texture and how the cacao affects your meditation or shamanic journey. Each cacao has its own personality and it's quite literally a matter of taste as to which cacao medicine suits you best! :) If you’ve never tried either cacao, why not start with our taster pack to see which one you prefer?

CACAO AND SSRIs

If you are taking SSRIs or are sensitive to caffeine, we suggest taking a maximum of 10g cacao a day and seeing how it affects you. Cacao naturally produces serotonin, which can create issues if you are taking SSRIs that also chemically produce serotonin. We advise you to speak to your doctor if you are unsure.

SHIPPING

  • We aim to ship our cacao out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

  • For orders to be sent on the same day of ordering, orders must be placed by 10am.

  • For UK deliveries we Royal Mail Tracked 24, 48 or Special Next Day Delivery

  • For International deliveries we use Royal Mail for orders under 2kg and DHL for anything over 2kg
