☀️A Cacao Ritual for Vitality ☀️
This months ritual is an invitation to tap into your inner vitality and feel into the rising energy of May. With Ritual Cacao as your heart-opening guide, you can reignite your inner spark, set clear intentions and align with what’s blooming within you.
What You Will Need:
Ritual Cacao prepared ahead of time
A quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed
A candle or incense to open and close the ritual
Fresh flowers, leaves, or natural elements to bring in the essence of May
A journal and pen for reflection and intention setting
Your favourite music – something that feels fitting for you, for the movement sections
(Optional) Slips of paper or flower petals for writing “May I…” intentions
1. Prepare Your Cacao & Open the Space
As you prepare and brew your Ritual Cacao, reflect on the year so far and how that’s felt for you. How does May feel so far?

Once your brew is ready, prepare your space.
Light a candle, incense, or place fresh flowers on your altar.
Ground yourself with a few deep breaths or gentle stretches.
Play soothing, grounding music in the background.
Come up with an invocation that feels right for you, or use our one below if you’re not used to doing rituals like this.
Invocation example: I enter this space with reverence and gratitude. I connect with the energy of May. I feel the expansion and abundance of this season. I open to the abundance and growth that is all around me.
2. Cacao Connection
Hold your cup of Ritual Cacao with both hands.
Tune into its warmth and the spirit of the plant.
Take your first sip with intention and tell yourself:
“With this cacao, I open my heart to receive it’s messages. I drink in vitality, creativity, and belief that I have the power to bloom.”
Take each sip with mindfulness and awareness, feeling the energy of cacao flowing around your body, and opening your heart.
3. Embodied Awakening: Movement & Breath
Put on an instrumental or an uplifting track that makes you feel good.
Begin with gentle movement: roll your shoulders, sway your hips, loosen your spine.
Let your movement gradually grow into a dance, playful, wild, or soft. Let cacao guide the rhythm.
Focus on feeling rather than performing. Let your body be a vessel of springtime energy.
Move with the question: “Where is my energy ready to flow?”
4. Reflection: Blooming Into Being
After dancing, sit down with your journal or simply reflect.
Prompts:
What in me is growing and expanding?
What part of my life is blossoming right now?
Where do I feel the most alive?
What wants to grow through me next?
5. “May I…” Intentions
This part uses the play on the word "May" to seed your intentions…
Write or speak aloud:
“May I open to abundance.”
“May I trust the timing of my growth.”
“May I bloom in my truth.”
“May I move through life with ease.”
“May I share my joy freely.”
Let each “May I…” be a spell of becoming and feel free to come up with your own. You can write them on small slips of paper, or petals, to place on your altar if you have one, or offer to the earth.
6. Closing the Ritual
Return to your breath.
Place your hands on your heart and say:
“Thank you for this space to feel, move, and bloom. I honor the growth within me and around me.”
Blow out the candle and offer a final sip (or a few drops) of cacao to the earth as a symbol of gratitude.
