Preparing for the Festive Season Cacao Ritual
As the holidays draw near, life tends to speed up. Calendars become hectic, to-do lists grow, and we can easily lose touch with the quiet moments that keep us grounded and focused.
That’s why this month’s Cacao Ritual is intentionally simple. It’s an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and prepare yourself for this festive season.
Find a little pocket of time, even just half an hour to prepare your cacao. Get cosy and let yourself soften into the moment with a delicious, warming, nourishing cup of Ritual Cacao.
🌿 What you will need:
A cup of ceremonial-grade Ritual Cacao (perhaps with cinnamon, nutmeg, or chilli for warmth)
A candle or soft lighting
A cosy blanket or warm wrap
A journal and pen
Optional: A few drops of your favourite essential oil (rose or orange), soft music, put the fire on if you have one.
1. Prepare Your Cacao

As you stir, invite warmth into your heart and home. Set the intention to slow down, nourish yourself, and welcome the stillness of this moment.
2. Prepare Your Space
Light your candle.
Clear the space with sage, palo santo, or incense.
Settle into your favourite spot in your home, and Invite warmth into your heart, both literally and symbolically.
Wrap yourself up in your cosiest blanket, and get really warm and snuggly…
3. Opening Prayer or Blessing
Take a few deep breaths and say aloud or silently:
“I honour the Cacao Spirit, and the people who tend this sacred plant.
May this cup of Cacao open my heart and guide me gently .
May I find peace and calm in the stillness of this moment.”
Sip your Ritual Cacao slowly, with gratitude.
4. Reflection & Journaling
Once you have drunk your cacao, close your eyes and focus on your breath, allowing your body to relax, Sit quietly, feeling the warmth of cacao in your body. Imagine it spreading from your heart outward. knowing you are taking this time for yourself.
Once you are feeling deeply relaxed, feel the Cacao Spirit now entering your heart, and using these prompts, or any you have, ask the Cacao for her guidance and wisdom.
What do I need to priortise, to make sure I am on top of everything?
What is making me feel blessed right now?
What can I let go of, to make more space?
How can I do to support myself, to feel more calm and harmonious?
5. Meditation & Gentle Movement (10–15 mins)
Focus on all the great things in your life, and what you would like to call in during this holiday season.
Move intuitively, stretch, sway, or wrap yourself up in your blanket and rock gently.
Let your body lead you into deeper presence. Do this for 10-15 minutes, or for as long as it feels good for you.
6. Closing the Ritual
Place a hand on your heart and whisper:
“I am warm, safe, and nourished.
I carry the light and guidance of cacao within me, as the festive season arrives.”
Blow out your candle with a breath of gratitude.
