An Easter Cacao Ritual: Connecting to What’s Real

Easter is a time that is meant to represent renewal, a quiet return of light, and a moment to reflect on what we are bringing forward into the next season. But like most things, it has become dominated by overconsumption, particularly when it comes to chocolate, which we rarely stop to think about.

So this is an invitation to do the opposite.

Create a sacred moment for yourself - even if it’s just 10-15mins where you have some peace and quiet to be wtih yourself. This is also best done in nature, if that is accessible for you.

Prepare your Ritual Cacao slowly, not habitually, but with real mindfulness, focusing on how the cacao butter creates a glistening sheen, how the cacao creates swirls, before dissolving, and how you feel as you stir.

  • If you have an intention, send that into the cacao as you prepare it.

  • Before you drink, take a pause.

  • Hold the cup in both hands and take 3 deep breaths.

This is where the Ritual begins, not in what you do, but in how present you are to it.

Take your first sip slowly, and let it sit in your mouth. Really taste it’s depth, its vibration, it’s smooth texture.

As you slowly sip it, bring your awareness to what you’re actually drinking, not just physically, but energetically, vibrationally, and physiologically.

Tune into where this cacao comes from, where it is grown, and who is growing it. See if you can connect to the all the people that made it possible for you to drink it. .

And then gently turn the attention back to yourself.

  • Where in your life are you consuming on autopilot?

  • Where have things become convenient, rather than conscious?

  • And what would it look like to connect to what is real?

Finish your cup slowly, and pour a little bit on the earth to thank it for the cacao bean.

Sit in silence and feel the cacao flowing around your body as a golden brown energy, opening up your heart, calming any worries or anxiety, and boosting your energy. See if any messages come bubbling up too.

Easter is meant to bring us back to what matters, not in theory, but in practice. And sometimes that doesn’t look like doing anything new, it just means paying closer attention to what is already in front of us.

Choosing 100% pure ceremonial-grade Ritual Ccacao over something manufactured, slowing down instead of consuming on autopilot, and recognising the connection between what we take in and the systems we are part of, is what brings us back into right relationship with what is real.

Take this connection with you throughout the day to feel more uplifted, peaceful and harmonious.
