Our delicious Tsatsayaku cacao is made from the Arriba Nacional / Fino de Aroma cacao bean in Ecuador.

  • With a light and smooth taste, Tsatsayaku is a great cacao for beginners: try blending it into a warm, nourishing drink to calm your heart and uplift your spirits.

  • It’s also delicious in desserts, smoothies and energy balls and can even bring a velvety depth to savoury sauces, soups and stews.

  • A 500g bag can last about one month depending on usage.

  • We suggest consuming around 20-25g cacao a day to nourish your body and brighten your mood.

  • A 42g dose is recommended for ceremonies and rituals such as shamanic journeys.

  • Our Tsatsayaku cacao is lovingly hand packaged by our team in London in fully recyclable 200g & 500g bags.

 ABOUT THE TSATSAYAKU ASSOCIATION

When you buy our ceremonial-grade Tsatsayaku cacao, you not only receive a bag of pure chocolatey love and goodness, you are also directly supporting an association made up of 140 Kichwa and Mestizo families that is striving to produce and conserve ancestral cacao and provide a fair price to all its members. The cacao itself is grown in the traditional Kichwa or ‘Chakra’ method, which has a conscientious respect for the natural environment and seeks to preserve biodiversity.

TSATSAYAKU VS ASHÁNINKA CACAO?

tsat Picture1.png

Tsatsayaku cacao is light, smooth and silky, making it the perfect introduction for those who are new to cacao. We find Tsatsayaku cacao is slightly less bitter than Asháninka cacao, and if you drink cacao regularly, you may start to notice distinctions in flavour, texture and how the cacao affects your meditation or shamanic journey. Each cacao has its own personality and it's quite literally a matter of taste as to which cacao medicine suits you best! :) If you’ve never tried either cacao, why not start by trying 200g of each to see which one you prefer?
